I have been fortunate to see Jessica Schaeffer perform in a variety of venues ranging from an intimate concert of Latin-themed music to a traditional orchestral setting in which she held the role of primary guest performer in a Requiem movement. Jessica, an obviously experienced musician, has the ability to adapt to each setting be it formal or informal, playing classical or even avant garde music. I must say though that my favorite performances have been her improvisations, a true demonstration of her dexterity! Having played in an orchestra myself, I can say that time and again I am amazed by not only the skill with which Jessica plays, but also her grace and pose. She is in many respects a true performer.
